VIRGINIA BORN AND BRED, AND THE VIRGINIA SHOPPER BLOG

Our whole team at Virginia Born and Bred call it “The Little Store That Could” because it has been changing with the times since 1993.  From the creation (without the aid of a computer) of a snail-mail catalog to “going green” in 2009 by expanding to an internet catalog, we continue to strive to offer the most alluring, useful and decorative gifts available and are constantly scouring the state for the best of the best.  Our store and its online catalog now showcase a wide array of unique gifts by local Virginia artists as well as quality gourmet foods, elegant gift baskets, and items of home décor.

THE VIRGINIA SHOPPER BLOG is not only to feature our own specialty items, but we hope to introduce friends, fans, and visitors to the wonderful opportunities, destinations, products, services and things to do in our beautiful state of Virginia.  We are proud of our state and all it has to offer.

IF YOU VISIT OUR SHOP – It’s nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in a wonderful small community called Lexington, Virginia.  You can see the shop just off Main Street because there is a big black huggable stuffed bear who stands outside during Open Hours and has become our store symbol.  Visitors love to have their pictures taken with “Sam”, who is usually dressed to celebrate the seasons.
