Friday Foto Op – Liberty Hall Academy Early Morning July 4th

Hot-air balloons rising near the ruins of Liberty Hall Academy, Lexington, Virgina.  The Academy, a predecessor of Washington and Lee University, was built in 1793 and burned in 1803. The ruins and their grounds continue to be maintained by the University. Photograph by Ellen Martin, Rockbridge County, VA.
